St. John's Primary is a lively and popular school with a team of professional, friendly and totally dedicated staff who aim to bring the best out of every child. St John's is an integrated Nursery and through Primary School with excellent facilities for boys and girls aged from 3 years through to 11.  With a roll of about 200 children, St John's offers below-average class sizes, well maintained buildings, rapidly improving standards, modern classroom facilities and the best school sports resources in the local area!

Heritage and Tradition

The School was originally opened in 1855 in St John's Villagethen moved to occupy larger grounds in nearby Knaphill in 1972.  It was initially built as a first school but a second block was later added to accommodate an upper school.  Due to increasing local demand we have recently added another two new classrooms and redeveloped the school offices to accommodate further growth.  Ongoing improvements include new fencing, paths, upgraded sports facilities and redevelopment and re-siting the staff room.

 

Local Church Links

St John's Primary School has had an association with St John's Parish Church for over 100 years.  Although not a 'Church School', St John's Primary is proud to be affiliated to the local parish Church where seasonal festivals, special school assemblies and performances are held.
