Welcome to St. Johns Primary School

The well equipped and helpful Winston Churchill sports college is just a few minutes from St Johns Primary The Government recently published its sports strategy;
'A Sporting Future For All'.

This has resulted in the School Sports Co-ordinator programme, with an aim to increase sports opportunities for more young people through co-ordinated PE, school sport and out-of-school learning activities that link with local community sports and development programmes.

We are very fortunate to be closely linked with specialist sports college Winston Churchill School, who are co-ordinating this programme in our area.

The after school football club is popular and have a successful team Debbie Barnett, our PE Co-ordinator, has been appointed Primary Link Teacher and is working closely with Winston Churchill School to develop top class sports activities at St John's Primary.

This is a very exciting time for St John's. We are able to make more use of the excellent training facilities and expertise available to us at the Sports College whle taking full advantage of our excellent outdoor facilities.

The heated swimming pool is recently built and has beautiful new changing rooms for the children St John's is the only school in the local area to benefit from a covered heated swimming pool with changing facilities.

Swimming lessons are offered in the warmer months to all pupils with Galas and other fun events when the weather is good. Our pool was used as part of the Everyday Swim pilot run by Woking Borough Council

The St John's Swimming Pool may be hired out during warmer weather for poolside parties, swimming lessons, barbecues and community events.

The school hall comes equipped with a wide range of gymnastic and keep fit equipment The school hall, also available to the local community outside of school hours, can be set-up with a small stage, as a gymnasium or a meeting room.

St John's playing fields are offered to the local community for training and games
