Bristol Zoo Competition

25th April 2019

A big wow and well done to Louise Neale and the Gardening Club who have won The Bristol Zoo Competition which is run by Bristol in Bloom.

They came first in the 8 to 11 years design an edible garden for the animals at the zoo.  They also won first overall which means the garden design is going to be planted at the zoo.

The food the animals eat along with the animal and plants that the food comes from was incorporated into the plan. A lot of hard work and research went into the garden planning by the children.

The children will start the planting of the garden and then the horticultural team at the zoo will finish it. The children will also have a tour behind the scenes at the zoo, along with winning £40 towards the school garden.

The Bristol in Bloom main competition we have entered again this year and the judges will be visiting us in the middle of June.
