Leah Tether is a Professor of Medieval Literature and Publishing at the University of Bristol. She has held several major educational leadership roles at Bristol, most recently as Head of the School of Humanities. Her background is in modern languages and her current research interests are in medieval and early-modern book history. Aside from her academic career, she has worked in the publishing trade and in development and alumni relations.
Leah has also spent time as a semi-professional musician, and continues her interest in music now, at present serving as Musical Director of the Boulevard Big Band. She was previously a governor at the King’s School in Worcester, and is excited to bring her expertise to St John’s, taking the opportunity to promote the study of Arts and Humanities disciplines, including languages.
