Year 3&4 RE and Worldviews Trip to Easton Jamia Mosque
On 25th June and 4th July, our Year 3 and Year 4 children visited Easton Jamia Mosque as part of this term’s RE and worldviews learning about Islam.
The children travelled by train from Clifton Down to Stapleton Road. At the mosque they were greeted by the Imam who talked to them about the Islam faith and some Muslim beliefs and traditions. The children then had a tour of the mosque and had an opportunity to ask questions at the end.
The children are now writing and illustrating their own ‘My journey to the mosque’ storybooks which will be shared with Year 2 children at Lower Redland Road in the last week of term.
