Admissions

Tours for Prospective Parents

Places for all year groups are managed by Bristol City Council (BCC).  Please click on the BCC website for New Reception Places and In Year Admissions for all year groups.

Please contact the office on 0117 903 0251 if you would like to know more about the current availability of places in each year group. There is a good chance we will be able to offer places to your children at our Ofsted Outstanding school.

Tour For Immediate Start School Places

We currently have a limited number of pupil spaces across most year groups.  We anticipate these will be allocated very quickly, so don’t delay, call 0117 903 0251 to arrange a tour of the school this week.

We take children all year round and waiting lists are managed by Bristol City Council.  To apply for a place at St. John’s School go to Bristol City Council.

To find out more about our admissions arrangements go to Admissions Policy.

Will I get in?

Clifton and North Bristol schools are popular. We have no catchment area and children come to our school from across Bristol.  If you are moving to the area and looking for September or mid-year places, please come and talk to us. We are very used to accepting children throughout the academic year and are experts at quickly settling children into life at St John’s, so they soon feel part of the school family.

Visiting the school

We recommend parents / carers visit the school before applying for a place: we think you’ll like it as much as we do, but every school has its own distinct character, and it is important you feel confident in what we can offer your child.
