Eco Team garden and wildflower meadow work
The Eco team were joined by 12 members of Year 9 QEH boys for the afternoon (as part of their sustainability / conservation outreach work).
The children were busy with lots of jobs; re-laying the paths in the garden, planting new flowers into our planters in the school playground, digging up and re-raking patches in the wildflower meadow, sowing in new wildflower seeds as well as planting in some semi parasitic ‘Yellow Rattle’ plugs – which should slow down the grass growth in the area.
Fingers crossed we see some flowers starting to grow this summer…
