St John’s Remembers
On Monday, all children observed the 2 minute silence to commemorate Remembrance Day; at WR this was followed by Year 5 pupils reciting the famous poem, On Flanders Fields.
Year 6 pupils from St. John’s attended the Remembrance service at the Whiteladies Road memorial, joining ministers, military personnel, other local schools and members of the public. In addition to laying a wreath, the children sang a beautiful rendition of ‘Wherever You Are’ which was very poignant and appreciated by all the attendees.
