Area Committee 1 met at the end of November to allocate Community Infrastructure Levy (CIL) funding, which comes from developers. We secured over £50,000 towards projects in Clifton Down by working together with residents. These were:
- Road safety upgrades outside St John’s primary on Lower Redland Road (£10,000)
- Pathway repairs and accessibility improvements to Arlington Gardens (£11,500)
- Junction improvements at Elgin Park and Lower Redland Road to prevent illegal turns (£10,000)
- Measures to tackle speeding on Apsley Road (£20,000)
A big thanks to the residents that helped pull the projects together and to one of our parents, Melody, for all her support and help.
