Worrall Road French Café – Thursday 22 January 2026

On Thursday last week, our hall at Worrall Road was transformed into a bustling French Café for the day! During the day, each Year 6 class worked a shift in the café – dressed as French waiters, kitchen staff and Bureau de change cashiers – serving our Year 3, 4 and 5 children and school staff who visited the café to order their food and drink in French.

Throughout the day, the Year 6 children were busy taking customer orders, preparing croissants and drinks, clearing tables and bringing the bill. The Year 3, 4 and 5 customers dressed up in French style and changed their pounds into euros at our Bureau de change desk, ordered their food and drink and settled their bill in French. All of the children had fun speaking in French and especially enjoyed eating their croissants and drinks at the café with their friends. Thanks to our amazing Year 5 and 6 parents who helped to make the event possible.
