Year 6 Camp

After a lot of changes, ifs and maybes. St Johns managed to take all Year 6 children on the annual trip to Simonsbath Outdoor Activity Centre last week and what a fantastic time we had! Children were able to mix pods with other classes for the first time and they were ecstatic to share a dorm with their friends. The weather was very kind to us which meant we were able to enjoy the water activities such as, stream scramble, the water assault course and a river study (which ended up in a large water fight).

Many children also tackled their fears when attempting the high ropes activities including, The Gladiator Challenge, Indiana Jones Zip Wire and Tree Top Climb among many other activities.

We look forward to returning to Simonsbath next year after another very successful trip. Well done to all Year 6’s for being enthusiastic and polite throughout the week! You finally got the trip you all deserved!
