I arrived in Bristol some 30 years ago for university, and never really plucked up the courage to leave this wonderful city. I now share a home with my wife, 3 children (the eldest of whom attended St. John’s a decade ago, and loved it), and a panther chameleon called Clive.

I am a partner in a local firm of solicitors, and have been involved with local charities and my children’s PTA for a long time. With a mother who was a KS1 teacher, applying to become a primary school governor seemed like a logical extension of my interest in engaging with the local community, promoting literacy, and supporting disadvantaged children.

This is my first governor role, and I am really looking forward to getting involved.
