Tea with Mr Hoye

Last week, 15 exceptional individuals from Year 3&4 and 15 from Year 5&6 joined Mr. Hoye in the staffroom for afternoon tea. This was in recognition of their consistently good behaviour at lunchtimes and for always showing respect and support for others. We had a delightful afternoon of yummy food as well as telling a few jokes (!) and Mr. Hoye thanked them for being such positive role models to others in the school. The children invited will have their names and photo displayed in school and are also listed below:

Year 3&4: Andreea, Titus, Lucy, Brooke, Kingsley, Katherine, George, Dominic, James, Jacob, Joel, Aiden, Miriam-Beth, George and Ada.

Year 5&6: Victoria, Lucy, Betty, Ajeen, Ethan, Henry, Joanna, Grace, George, Indie, Lukas, Charlotte, Ivo, Brianna and Sophie.

This annual event has come at an opportune moment, as we are focussing on politeness and respect across both buildings. Children from across the school received a headteacher’s certificate in service today to acknowledge their exceptional manners and respect towards others. We know that politeness is an important life skill and we are looking to ensure this is a consistent feature of St. John’s children behaviour and attitude so please do support this at home.
