Despite the heavens opening last Thursday afternoon, the Worrall Road Eco Team had a very successful Garden Day. We had 3 amazing parent helpers with us who helped us to transform the space.
We now have 3 beds in the garden and we even managed to plant in some broad beans and onions in the rain at the end of the day!
The garden is almost complete now – we just need to lay the rest of the woodchip paths. Although the Year 3/4 children were totally unfazed by the torrential downpour at 2pm, we decided to call it a day at this point!
We’ve also sown some wildflower seeds for the bees around the tree at the top of the garden (the roped off area) so we should start to see some colour in this area soon.
