St John’s Litter Pick Club

Evie B (Owls class) came up with an idea to set up ‘Litter pick club’, word spread and there was quickly 15 pupils signed up!

At the weekend they turned out to pick litter for almost 2 hours on the Downs and they all got properly stuck in and (sadly) picked up a huge amount of litter.

Evie even made some litter pick club badges for every person who came along. We loved the enthusiasm and kindness from so many pupils to help out and make a difference to our local community.

Thank you to all the 15 pupils involved in this amazing initiative.

Litter pickers are available to borrow from Ellis Brigham Mountain Sports shop (top of Whiteladies) for anyone that would like to have a go at picking litter themselves.
